5G Services Launch Today: How To Watch The Telecast?

The 5G services launch is scheduled for today, that is, Saturday, October 1, 2022, by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The services will be introduced at the India Mobile Congress (IMC), New Delhi, which is also scheduled to start today. This event is set to go on till October 4, 2022. The theme of this year’s IMC event is “Encapsulate, Engage and Experience a New Digital Universe.” The IMC aims to promote advanced and newer technologies, especially, the ones that are indigenously worked on.

How To Watch 5G Services Launch Live Telecast?

The ones who are interested in the 5G network launch can tune in to Doordarshan, the National public broadcaster, which is expected to telecast the launch live along with other news pieces. In addition, the Prime minister of our country will also inaugurate the 6th edition of the IMC event. The speech is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

5G networks are going to revolutionise the entire telecom industry. Not only that, a major change in the office and home lifestyle might be witnessed due to the fact that it will offer exceptionally good data speed. However, currently, no telecom company including Reliance Jio, Vodafone, and Airtel, has introduced any 5G internet plans. But it is estimated that they will soon roll out 5G internet plans as the 5G services launch takes place today.

The 5G networks won’t be available to the whole of India at once. It will be distributed in the entire country in different phases. Phase 1 of 5G technology in India will see the services being enabled in 13 cities. These cities include major ones like Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Lucknow. Along similar lines, earlier this year, Jio mentioned that they will roll out these services in four cities- Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai.
