Rupee Vs Dollar Rates Today: The Indian currency has fallen 13 paise to 81.43 against the US Dollar (USD) in the early trade today, 13th of Jan 2023 (Friday). Firm crude oil prices and muted trends in domestic equities have weighed it down. The forex traders said that the sustained foreign fund outflows have further dented investor sentiments.
Against the Rupee vs Dollar rates today, the interbank foreign exchange opened weak at 81.32, then declined to 81.43, a loss of 13 paise. As compared to today’s session, in the previous session on Thursday, 12th Jan 2023, the rupee had gained 38 paise to close at 81.30 against USD.
In the meantime, the dollar index, which measures the strength of the greenback against a basket of six currencies, increased 0.07% to 102.31, as US inflation fell in December. Coming on to the domestic equity market, the 30-share BSE Sensex had been trading at 279.76 points or 0.47% lower at 59,678.27. However, the broader Nifty declined by 74.05 points or 0.41% to 17,784.15, according to the Rupee vs Dollar rates today.
