Kuttey Box Office Collection: Did It Meet Expectations On Day 1?

Kuttey Box Office Collection: Did It Meet Expectations On Day 1?

Kuttey Box Office Collection Day 1: In the second week of the new year, Bollywood conducted its first theatrical release, “Kuttey”. The dark comedy-drama featuring Arjun Kapoor and Tabu opened in theatres on Friday, the 13th of January 2023. That said, the first Bollywood release indeed started blandly. Probably the sequel of the 2009 Vishal Bharadwaj film “Kaminey” starring Shahid Kapoor, Kuttey gave enough vibes of Kaminey through its explicit language, intense comedy, and gloomy atmosphere. The film made enough effort to attract viewers through coarse language spitted by Tabu, Arjun, and Radhika Madan. However, it failed ruthlessly.

Kuttey Movie Casts

The following are the casts you will see in the movie:

  • Tabu as Pammi Sandhu
  • Arjun Kapoor as Gopal Tiwari
  • Naseeruddin Shah as Narayan Khobre
  • Konkona Sen Sharma as Lakshmi
  • Radhika Madan as Lovely Khobre
  • Kumud Mishra as Paaji
  • Firoz Chaudhary
  • Shardul Bhardwaj as Danny Dandekar
  • Lavishka Gupta as Arjun Kapoor’s daughter
  • Ashish Vidyarthi as Harry
  • Jay Upadhyay as Surti

Kuttey Movie Plot

“Sabke sab kuttey hai saale!” sarcastically proclaims Arjun Kapoor in this thrilling, raw, and earthy trailer tinged with dark humour. In the movie, the grey-shaded characters will portray similar characters. Arjun and Tabu play cops and investigators in the film. Meanwhile, Naseeruddin Shah plays a gangster.

Aasmaan’s title track was recreated from Kaminey by Vishal Bhardwaj, who composed the music for Kuttey and directed Kaminey. Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series present this Arjun Kapoor starrer, produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg, and Rekha Bhardwaj. Kuttey Box Office Collection: Day 1

With a collection of about Rs 1.5 to 2 crore on its Kuttey Box Office Collection, Kuttey’s first-day performance has been below average. However, it reminded us of Kaminey with its two tracks, “Ek Aur Dhan Te Nan” and “Phir Dhan Te Nan”. According to Box Office India,

"The first Hindi release of the year Kuttey has taken a very dull start of around 5% which is not a surprise considering how films which probably had more at the box office have been faring. Kuttey is a film that does anything for the youth and is very much a film similar to what goes around on streaming with abusive language and bloodshed. The film seems to have tried to bank on the value of the 2009 film Kaminey but that was hardly a good film or appreciated outside the media and critic types who hardly matter."
