The Nifty 50 Index opened at a decent loss of 29.85 points today and closed almost flat compared to Monday’s closing of 17,340. However, this Indian stock market index did not lose its momentum and gained slightly. Nifty 50 was up by 0.03% as it closed at 17,345.45 (gaining 5.40 points) on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. The index managed to gain about 130 points from its low of 17,215.85 The leading sectors were PSU (2.68%) and FMCG (0.64%). It had earlier gained over 180 points in the last trading session.
