Argentina Interested In India’s Tejas Fighter Aircraft. What’s Next?

S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India, recently noted that the country has acknowledged and respected Argentina’s interest in the Tejas Fighter Aircraft. India has made a great achievement by building such an aircraft that they might make it into the Argentine Airforce. Those who want to know the latest Tejas Fighter Aircraft news have landed up on the right page, isn’t it?

India And Argentina On The Tejas Fighter Aircraft

Jaishankar is on a visit to Argentina and recently met Santiago Cafiero, the Minister of Foreign Affairs International Trade and Worship. They reaffirmed the fact that both the countries and their political relations were at peace. They confirmed that they have been collaborating on subjects in different spheres (hinting toward the update mentioned about the Indian fighter aircraft here). The statement by the ministers, quoted by the Economic Times, noted that:

"Expressing satisfaction at the close cooperation between the two countries at the multilateral fora, both ministers agreed to closely cooperate in the United Nations and other multilateral organisations to address global challenges of terrorism, security, international and regional peace, climate change, biodiversity loss, equitable trade and sustainable development. Both sides agreed to promote the exchange of visits between armed forces, defence training and collaboration for joint production of defence related equipment."

Both countries aim to fight terrorism activities and that is why Argentina is looking to deploy the fighter aircraft by India. The ministers, quoted by ET, also mentioned that:

“Terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including cross-border terrorism, is completely unacceptable to the international community and must be combatted resolutely.”

We estimate that the speed of Tejas Fighter Aircraft might be a reason Argentina showed an interest in it. Moreover, the Covid-19 pandemic also witnessed India and Argentina partnership to fight against it. This is why we are looking forward to the different partnerships and collaborations that the countries and the benefits it would provide to both of them.
